The Rail Minister Piyush Goyal promised to release total 9,739 vacancies of Constable and Sub Inspector. As promised, around 50% of the RPF vacancy for Constable/SI post is reserved for Women.
RPF Recruitment 2018 Online Application
The application form for RPF SI/Constables 2018 recruitment will be accepted through an Online mode only from 1st June 2018. Candidates can apply directly at the official site of Railway Protection Force (RPF) once the online application link gets active. The RPF recruitment online application will end on 30.06.2018.
RPF Constable Salary Structure
Pay Band of RPF Constable 21,700/- plus usual allowances and for SI, the salary is 35,400/- plus other allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees.

Selection Process for RPF SI Recruitment & Constable Bharti 2018
- Computer Based Test (CBT): After the scrutiny, candidates who are found eligible for RPF Bharti will have to give CBT examination.
- PET and PMT: candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for PET and PMT. iv) The qualifying criteria for PET shall be as under:

Document Verification: Those who qualify in the PET and PMT will be called for Document verification.
Medical Examination: After the successful Document Verification, the candidate will be sent for a medical examination at the Railway Hospitals.
Training: Candidates will have to undergo an initial training in any one of the RPF/RPSF training centre as decided by the Railway Administration in the event of their selection. During the training, the stipend of Rs 21700 plus to constable & Rs 35,400 to Sub-Inspector plus other allowances as admissible will be offered. Passing the Final Examination at the end of the training is mandatory.

Syllabus
The standard of examination is clearly mentioned in the Notification. For RPF Constable posts, the standard of the questions will be of 10th/Matric level. RPF Sub Inspector (SI) posts, the standard of the questions will be of graduation level.
A. General Awareness & Science: Questions will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society; to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observation and experience as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to Indian History, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Sports, General Science, etc.
B. Arithmetic: Questions on Number systems, whole numbers, decimal and fractions and relationships between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, use of table and graphs, 1nensuration, time and distance, ratio and proportion etc.
C. General Intelligence & Reasoning: Questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning, etc.
